Hello Everyone,

Spring Break is coming upon us. It runs February 29 - March 6th. Here is the Library's Spring Break schedule:

2/28 (Saturday)- regular hours
2/29 (Sunday) - Closed
3/1-3/5 (Monday - Friday) - 8:30 to 5:00
3/6 (Saturday) - 12:00 to 4:00
3/7 (Sunday) - regular hours

Normally during Spring Break the reference the desk is slower than normal, so staffing is normally kept to a minimum. The shifts that are in question are:

Thursday - 1 to 5 (Kim)
Friday - 1 to 5 (Natalie)
Saturday - 12 to 4 (Jamie)

For Saturday, we don't need reference coverage, so Jamie you shouldn't come in. For Kim and Natalie, if you are around and want to come in for your shift, feel free. Just be prepared, we'll have lots of projects to do. If you can't make it, just let me know and we'll find coverage amongst the full-time staff.

Hi Kim and Matt,

Meris read your message and will contact Sr. Sophia to explain to her how to do sturcture searching. Thanks for trying. It can be very tricky if you don't know chemistry. Maybe in the near future, Meris will be able to help us with an advanced training session on SciFinder :).

Does anyone know how to draw chemical formulas in SciFinderScholar? Matt & I worked with Sr. Sophia Mbihije for quite a while trying to draw a formula, but couldn't figure it out. If anyone can help, her e-mail is smbihij@luc.edu
